WHAT IS A BEACON

It is a small, Bluetooth® device. When placed in a physical space, such as your retail store, it broadcasts tiny radio signals around itself at low power consumption. Your customers will receive custom notifications while they walk through your store or interact with your products.
Using Bluetooth® technology, the device is able to estimate the position of the smartphones and interact with them by exchanging data and information. The micro-location system is able to locate mobile devices that are as close as four inches away, or as far as over 200 feet away.

The Smart Beacon platform offers the possibility of issuing gift cards and coupons through Passbook technology.

The benefits of Passbook:

The Passbook system allows customers to store and organize the discount coupons through a common smartphone. This technology from Apple is already supported by all iPhones and iPads and it is also freely available for Android and Windows device

Unlike paper coupons, the customer simply goes to the cash till and shows the coupon on the screen of their smartphone. This simple procedure can also be done automatically, enabling the optional feature of geo location that facilitates the search for the coupon during the checkout line

Finally, by means of a barcode reader, provided with the QRcode system, coupons will be read.

Smart Beacon therefore lets you create Passbook coupons that will be available to customers through the dedicated app
